Most of us have forgotten the disease scurvy. It is caused by a deficiency of Vitamin C and usually affects the bones, joints, teeth, gums, and connective tissues. In many if not most cases, colitis, even bleeding ulcerative colitis and enteritis is a form of scurvy of the intestines. Unless the real, whole vitamin C complex is introduced in these cases, you will simply exist by "controlling" the condition with drugs or other measures.
Colitis is a tough condition to cure-possibly because stress and emotions play a role in the syndrome. It is also exacerbated by food allergies and some prescription drugs. Nonetheless, the whole vitamin C complex must be ingested to affect any semblance of a cure, In all cases of colitis, we use Cataplex ACP by Standard Process (SP), or another similar product at a dose of one to three tablets per meal. |
Steps to Healing
1. To set the stage for healing, eliminate all milk, wheat, and gluten foods and products from diet for at least 30 days. During the initial phase, a healing clay product that contains bentonite (a form of montmorillinite clay) is helpful in controlling symptoms. This type of clay will adsorb toxins and poisons from the gut while soothing the lining of the intestines. We use bentonite-containing Gastrex (SP) at a dose of two capsules 30 minutes before meals. Use this product as a temporary aid for the first 60 to 90 days only.
2. Most people with chronic colitis or enteritis also benefit from temporary liver support with bile supplements. We use Cholachol II (SP) at a dose of one during each meal to supply purified bile in a blend with bentonite and collinsonia powder. This improves digestion, soothes diarrhea. and cleanses the gut as wastes and toxins are eliminated like a magnet via the healing clay. This product is also used on a temporary basis for 60 to 120 days only as healing takes hold.
3. While the whole vitamin C complex is of paramount importance in all colitis cases, the gut be partially paralyzed and flaccid at the same time that it is spastic and contracted. The whole B complex is critical to maintaining proper muscle tone throughout the gut structure. We use Cataplex B and Cataplex G (SP) at a dose of one tablet each per meal to supply the whole vitamin B complex.
4 If there is extreme mucus and/or bleeding, extra healing components will be needed in the protocol. In these cases we use Chlorophyll Pearls and Okra Pepsin E3 (SP) to promote initial healing quickly. Chlorophyll Pearls
are used at a dose of one per meal, but can be used a tone per hour as a form of shock therapy to try to stem the mucus and bleeding. Okra Pepsin E3 contains the healing plant okra with the digestive enzyme pepsin. These are combined with the E3 portion of this nutritional complex which is extract of Tillandsia usneoides (succulent Spanish Moss) and allantoin. Three to six Okra Pepsin E3 capsules can be taken per day.

5. In all cases a bland diet with little roughage and fiber must be consumed for the first few months. As healing takes hold, some raw foods can be slowly introduced into the diet. Some people must eliminate all milk, wheat, and gluten foods for a year or even longer.
I have only highlighted the contents of the nutritional complexes used in these cases. Since all are made from whole, organic, raw materials, they all contain a host of nutritional components, synergists, trace elements, activators, sterols and sterolins-a far cry from any substitute you might find anywhere else. Don't just live with scurvy of the intestine. Follow these guidelines and allow sufficient time for healing-from eight to 18 months. And remember, ascorbic acid will not cure this problem.
