Stuffed Green Peppers
8 green peppers
1 ½ pounds ground beef
1 cup brown rice cooked
1 egg slightly beaten
1 onion chopped
Unrefined sea salt and pepper to taste
1 lg jar tomato sauce
Brown the onion and ground beef.
Stir in egg and tomato sauce. Simmer.
Remove stem end of the peppers, and remove seeds and interior flesh.
Par boil the peppers for 5 min.
Add rice to beef mixture.
Stuff peppers with beef mixture.
Set in a deep glass pan in a steamer.
Steam for 15 -20 minutes.
